Turkey Fryer Safety Reminder
If you’re firing up the propane turkey fryer this year, stay safe with these quick tips:
- Never use a fryer indoors or on a deck
- Set up on flat ground, at least 10 ft from your home
- Keep a fire extinguisher within reach
- Thaw and dry the turkey completely (ice + hot oil = explosion)
- Don’t overfill the pot — follow the fill line
- Lower the turkey slowly to avoid boil-over
- Keep kids and pets far away
A safe fryer means more time enjoying family and less time at the ER.
